Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Maker 2 will release on June 28, 2019. The second game in the series was announced in February this year.
In Super Mario Maker players are able to create and play their own custom courses based on various Super Mario Bros. games, share them online, and download and play courses designed by other players. The original game was released to celebrate the 30th Super Mario Bros. anniversary.
Aside from the normal retail release, Nintendo will also release a Limited Edition bundle containing a stylus and a Nintendo Switch Online Services one-year subscription. The stylus is said to make it easier for players to design levels. The stylus is only available as a bonus for those who pre-order the bundle either in stores or via the Nintendo eShop.
This sequel will contain more content for players to build levels with, such as the ability to make slopes, and the availability of the Cat Mario power-up from Super Mario 3D World.
Super Mario Maker 2 releases on June 28, 2019, for Nintendo Switch.
