Bethesda has officially confirmed the shooter game Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. The game was rumored to be announced soon after it appeared on the website of an online retailer.
The game will once again feature BJ Blazkowicz and will follow a completely new storyline that seems to take place after the events of Wolfenstein: The New Order.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus sends players to Nazi-controlled America on a mission to recruit the boldest resistance leaders left.
Players will fight the Nazis in iconic locations such as small-town Roswell, New Mexico, the flooded streets of New Orleans, and a post-nuclear Manhattan.
Players will be able to equip an arsenal of weapons, and unleash new abilities to blast their way through legions of advanced Nazi soldiers, cyborgs, and über soldiers.
The game briefly appeared on the website of an online retailer earlier this week along with its release date.
The game is currently being developed by Machine Games. The development studio also developed the previous critically acclaimed Wolfenstein games Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfensten: The Old Blood.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus launches on October 27th 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
