Ubisoft has announced that its multiplayer virtual reality shooter Space Junkies will release in March. The game will also be getting a closed and open beta test.
Space Junkies is said to be a visceral, jetpack-fueled arcade shooter where you fly through deadly Orbital Arenas in hostile space, facing off in extreme 2v2 or 1v1 battles.
The game has a variety of weapons to choose from, ranging from Sunblasters to Bioguns, that let you use different angles and both of your hands to combine your weapons of choice when stalking and taking down your opponents.
It is said to provide full VR navigation in space, allowing you to use both hands and your body to dodge, weave and fly through space. Because of this, situational awareness is key in securing victory.
On the PC, it will support both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive virtual reality headsets. It can be played both seated and standing and supports room-scale virtual reality.
Space Junkies releases on March 26, 2019, for PC and PlayStation 4.
