Indie development studio Metanaut has released a beta build of its upcoming virtual reality physics puzzle game Gadgeteer. The game releases in April.
Gadgeteer is a VR physics puzzle game where you build chain reaction machines to solve fun, intricate puzzles. Your machines will use gadgets to launch, bump, twist, and turn, creating chain reactions that may even end up tearing apart the fabric of space-time.
The game contains a puzzle story mode in which players must uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of a brilliant mad scientist. Solve the puzzles he has left for you to build what he built and explore a world of infinite possibilities.
A sandbox mode is also available to allow players to build machines without any limitations, except for the rules of physics. These creations can then be shared with friends.
The open beta demo build can be downloaded via Steam.
Gadgeteer is expected to release in April. It will support the HTC Vive virtual reality headset and can be played both seated and standing with room-scale VR.
