Asobo Studio has officially announced that its game A Plague Tale: Innocence will release for the latest generation of consoles in July.

Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other. As they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.

On Xbox Series X & S and PlayStation 5, the game will run at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The Nintendo Switch version will only be available as a digital download and will utilize cloud streaming technology to power its visuals.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is scheduled to release on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, for Xbox Series X & S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The game is already available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
