Frontier Developments has announced its new zoo building game Planet Zoo. The game is similar to Planet Coaster but focuses on building worlds for wildlife.

In Planet Zoo players construct detailed habitats, manage their zoo, and meet authentic living animals "who think, feel and explore the world" players create around them.

The game will contain a "globe-trotting" campaign and a sandbox mode to give players freedom to create. Craft detailed habitats to bring animals' natural environments home, research and manage each species to allow them to thrive, and help animals raise families to pass their genes onto future generations.

The game is the next entry in the series of the studio's building games, following up the meager reception of Jurassic World Evolution, which many considered a reskin of Planet Coaster.

Planet Zoo is scheduled to release this fall exclusively for PC.
