Marvel has announced a strategic partnership with Square Enix to develop a videogame franchise based on the superhero team The Avengers.
According to a recent press release, several game development studios are working on 'The Avengers project', including Crystal Dynamics, Square Enix and Eidos Interactive.

Crystal Dynamics is known for its involvement in the development of various Tomb Raider franchise videogames and both Square Enix and Eidos Interactive are known for the development of several Deus Ex franchise videogames.
Along with the announcement of the new partnership Square Enix has also released a short teaser trailer in which both Captain America and Iron Man are featured.
Neither Marvel nor Square Enix have released further details on the project but it is expected that more information will be released at the end of this year.
