Microsoft has released the first gameplay trailer for Minecraft Dungeons. The game was announced in 2018 and releases in 2020.
In the game up to four players can battle and work together as they explore "action-packed, treasure-stuffed, wildly varied levels" in a quest to save villagers and take down the evil "Arch-Illager".
It will feature a variety of new weapons and items not seen before in the Minecraft universe that will help players defeat a ruthless swarm of new-and-nasty mobs.
Players will be able to explore dungeons, canyons, swamps and mines as they play through the game's story. It will contain four-player local and co-op modes to explore and play together.
In addition, character customization is also said to be included, but specific details were not revealed aside from inventory management and item slotting.
The game was announced in 2018 and was targeting a mid-2019 release, but the studio did not comment on the game after its announcement, until now.
Minecraft Dungeons is now scheduled to release in the spring of 2020 for PC and Xbox One.
