Gearbox Software has announced that its shooter game Borderlands 3 will release in September. The announcement has since been removed.

Borderlands 3 is the latest installment in the franchise. The first trailer shows that this new entry will feature the same art style as the previous games. The game was announced last week

The announcement trailer shows the four new playable Vault Hunters and includes various characters from previous games, including Lilith, Brick, Mordecai, Zer0, Tiny Tina, Sir Hammerlock, and Claptrap.

The PC version of the game will likely be an Epic Games Store exclusive title, because removed advertisements displayed the Epic Games Store label.

Borderlands 3 releases on September 13, 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Update 16:53 GMT: Gearbox Software has confirmed the release date and the Epic Games Store exclusivity.
