Sony has confirmed that it will be closing the Guerrilla Games studio in Cambridge due to compulsory redundancies.
The decision to close the studio in Cambridge comes from reviewing all of the current PlayStation projects that are currently being worked on with Sony concluding that it needs to make changes in its European studios structure to deliver on "strategic objectives".
The Guerilla Games studio in Amsterdam, who is responsible for the development of Killzone and Horizon Zero Dawn, will not be affected by the closure of the Cambridge studio.
Guerrilla Games Cambridge first opened its doors 19 years ago. The studio was responsible for the development of Primal, Killzone: Mercenary, Rigs: Mechanized Combat League and the MediEvil franchise.
