Bandai Namco has released the announcement trailer for its upcoming Dragon Ball action role-playing game. The game's working title is Dragon Ball Project Z.
Dragon Ball Project Z will tell the story of the mysterious Dragon Balls in an all-new Dragon Ball game. The game will tell and follow the events of the TV series from start to finish.
The game is said to be an action role-playing game focusing on "the World of Dragon Ball Z", indicating that it will feature worlds and characters from this iconic franchise.
The game was announced via social media last week, but the publisher removed the announcement moments later.
The new game will follow up the previous games Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ, both of which are briefly shown in the trailer. However, the genre of this game is different than the previous two.
The game is currently in development at CyberConnect2, a Japanese game development studio located in Fukuoka. The studio also worked on the Naruto Shippuden fighting games.
Dragon Ball Project Z is expected to release in 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
