EA Games has announced that it will be revealing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on April 13, 2019. The game has been in development for several years.
The game was announced in June last year but the development studio has remained silent about its development and content ever since. Earlier this month, EA Games confirmed that game was still on track for a release this year.
The game will be revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2019 in Chicago. The event starts on April 11, 2019.
Although not much has been revealed, the new Star Wars game will be taking place during the dark period of time between episode III and IV. Players will be able to play as a Jedi Knight and wield a lightsaber to take down enemies.
The game is currently in development at Respawn Entertainment. The studio was founded by Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella in 2010.
In the same year the duo became involved in a Call of Duty royalty dispute case with its parent company Activision, which caused the company to fire both West and Zampella. The duo formed the studio not long after. It was acquired by EA Games in 2017.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is scheduled to release in the fall of 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
