Publisher Activision has released a remastered edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The game is titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and is currently only available for PlayStation 4.

The remastered edition of the singleplayer campaign has been fully remastered with improved textures, animations, physically-based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and more. On consoles it also renders at 4K resolution, a feature the PC version already had in the 2009 original.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered released on March 31, 2020, for PlayStation 4. It will release for PC and Xbox One on April 30, 2020.
