The recent release of Just Cause 4 was met with mostly negative user reviews on Steam this week. Players are reporting a wide variety of issues and bugs.
The new entry in the Just Cause franchise was announced earlier this year and released on Steam earlier this week. At the time of writing, the game's store page currently displays the "mostly negative" label.
In the reviews players are complaining about a wide variety of issues, including low frame rate, no field of view settings, broken settings menus, low quality anti-aliasing, low quality textures, poor pre-rendered cutscene quality, no keybinding options, and various camera issues.
In addition to these issues, players are complaining about various downgrades when compared to Just Cause 3, such as the nerfing of the jetpack boost that was also available in the previous game.
These are just some of the reasons why Just Cause 4 has such bad reviews. Whether the complaints from players will be addressed remains to be seen. The studio has yet to announce a patch to resolve these issues and bugs.
Just Cause 4 released on December 4, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
