Nintendo has released a new trailer for the upcoming Nintendo Switch Pokémon game Pokémon Sword and Shield. The game will release in November.
The new game will introduce the new Galar region to the world of Pokémon. The region is said to be expansive with many environments: idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains.
Players will start their adventure by choosing one of three Pokémon: Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble.
The new game is currently being in development at Game Freak. The Japanese studio is known for its involvement in the development of several popular Pokémon titles for the Nintendo Gameboy handheld console, including Pokémon Red and Blue and Pokémon Gold and Silver.
In the game your Pokédex is part of your Rotom Phone. Inside the Rotom Phone resides the Rotom Pokémon, which can enter various electronic devices to allow you to do things like speed up your bike or travel over water.
The game will feature a Wild Area that stretches between cities and is filled with nature and Pokémon. Different Pokémon will appear depending on where you are and what weather it is. Players will have full 3D control over the camera to better search for items and Pokémon.
In addition, the game will contain the new Dynamax feature to significantly upscale Pokémon in size and power. This feature can be used once per battle and Pokémon will return back to normal after three turns. Players will need to choose wisely when to trigger it.
Last but not least, the game will also contain local co-op and online play to play with friends or play against players from around the world.
Pokémon Sword and Shield is scheduled to release on November 15, 2019.
