Nintendo has released a new gameplay video for its upcoming title Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The game releases in March.

Take control of the powerful pink puffball, Kirby, and move around in 3D stages as you discover a mysterious world. What journey awaits Kirby? Take a deep breath and get ready for an unforgettable adventure.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land  will be the first 3D platform game in the Kirby series. Players will be able to freely explore the 3D stages - a first in the series. Discover a mysterious world with abandoned structures from a past civilization.

Players will be able to copy enemies’ abilities like the new Drill and Ranger and use them to attack, explore your surroundings, and save the kidnapped Waddle Dees from the ferocious Beast Pack alongside the mysterious Elfilin.

New in the series is the Mouthful Mode via which Kirby can inhale real-world objects and transform. For example, Kirby can swallow entire vending machines and use its contents to shoot out cans to defeat enemies.

In addition to the game's singleplayer campaign, players will also be able to play with a friend, similarly to Super Mario Odyssey. The second player will control the spear-wielding Bandana Waddle Dee and to help explore and battle through the colorful world.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is scheduled to release on Friday, March 25, 2022, for Nintendo Switch.
