Indie development studio Black Matter has announced it is working on a realistic WW2 shooter game. The game was announced via a trailer featuring actual gameplay footage.
According to a recent press release, Hell Let Loose puts players in the chaos of war, complete with deep player-controlled vehicles, a dynamically evolving front line, and crucial unit-focused gameplay that commands the tide of battle.
In the game up to 100 players can battle against each other with infantry, tanks, artillery, a dynamically shifting front line and a "unique resource based strategic meta-game".
The game's multiplayer maps are said to be modeled on real images and satellite data and has been divided up into large capture sectors.
Players will be able to choose from 14 playable roles within infantry, recon and armour unit types, each equipped with different weapons, vehicles and equipment. These roles include Officer, Scout, Machine Gunner, Medic, Engineer, and Tank Commander.
The game is built upon Unreal Engine 4 to power its graphical fidelity and is said to deliver a true war simulation instead of an arcade arena shooting experience.
Hell Let Loose is expected to release in 2019, exclusively for PC.
