The indie cyberpunk pixel art game Tales of the Neon Sea has made its way to Kickstarter. The development studio behind the game hopes to collect the funds to continue development.

The game is set in a cyberpunk cityscape where humans and robots contend with escalating tensions and mutual distrust. Players take on the role of a hard-boiled detective using their wits and puzzle-solving skills to determine the course of this unique tale.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the game is its stunning visuals, combining traditional pixel art with modern atmospheric lighting and visual effects to bring the world to life.

In terms of gameplay, players will encounter various puzzles interspersed throughout the story. These are said to focus on observation and reasoning skills, while also being logical and fun.

Tales of the Neon Sea is currently in development at the Chinese indie development studio Palm Pioneer. The studio hopes to collect roughly $10,000 US via Kickstarter to fund development.
