RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 may be removed from Steam and GOG store fronts, several websites are reporting. The game may be removed due to licensing issues.

The game is currently still being published on Steam by Atari. The company is currently in a legal dispute with former rights holder Frontier Developments, which has claimed 2.2 million US dollar in unpaid royalties.

The removal of the game could indicate that Atari is no longer the official rights holder of the franchise, which means both Steam and GOG will need approval of its current owner before it will be able to relist the game.

At the time of writing the game is still available on Steam.
