When the new heroes will be added to the game is still unknown because Valve has yet to comment on a release date for the Dueling Fates update.

The update was announced during the premier Dota 2 tournament The International which was hosted at the Seattle KeyArena.

During The International Valve also announced Artifact: The Dota Card Game, which was met with audible disappointment as the audience expected new Dota 2 content to be revealed instead.
