Sony has confirmed the existence of the PlayStation 4 Pro. The console is an updated version of the current retail version of PlayStation 4.

The new PlayStation 4 Pro will be available in most markets starting November 10th for $399 or €399. The new version has been rumored to exist for weeks and a model of a slimmer PlayStation 4 console even leaked two weeks ago before the official announcement.

According to Sony the console will bring hours of 4K high definition content. The console boasts 4K resolution gaming, HDR graphics, support for HDTVs and PlayStation VR.

PlayStation 4 Pro will feature an updated GPU, boosted processor clock rates and a larger harddisk.

PlayStation 4 games will work on both versions of the console but game developers will only be able to make use of the updated console hardware when players play their games on PlayStation 4 Pro.
