The PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 4 Pro will both get a firmware update that brings HDR support. Above all the HDR support seems to be a marketing gimmick.

HDR Gaming
According to Sony the new PlayStation 4 Pro console will support HDR. In the presentation a normal photo and an HDR photo is shown. Both photos were not in any way related to PlayStation 4 Pro HDR capabilities.

The games shown that are supposedly running new HDR functionality just have several new lighting effects enabled that are not HDR related. The new functionality seems to be a marketing gimmick.
