Gamers who have received their Nintendo Switch before the official March 3rd 2017 release date have complained about JoyCon controller connectivity issues.
According to early reports, the JoyCon connectivity issue occur when the JoyCon controllers are not attached to the Nintendo Switch. The connectivity issue is also apparent when the JoyCon controllers are put into the JoyCon grip.
When affected by the issue, gamers will find their left JoyCon controller to be unresponsive during gameplay. The connectivity issue can be fixed by manually resynchronising the controllers.
Thus far the reports have only indicated that the left JoyCon controller is affected by the connectivity issue. Why only the left JoyCon controller seems to be affected is currently unknown, but it is likely that it is related to the controller's wireless capabilties.
Why the connectivity issue was not spotted during internal quality assurance testing is currently unknown. Nintendo has not officially commented on the controller connectivity issue yet.
