Square Enix has confirmed it will stop developing mobile edition of games under the Go brand. The studio released various mobile games, including Hitman Go and Deus Ex Go in the past.

According to an article published on the website "pcgamesinsider", Square Enix is no longer working on mobile Go games. In the article Square Enix Montreal Studio Head Patrick Naud stated that the decision is the result of the premium mobile market "diminishing".

The reason why these games were less popular may be related to the many free games available on mobile devices, steering gamers away from paid experiences. All mobile Go games are currently still retailing for roughly $4.99 US.

Because these titles only saw a relatively small number of active players all of them were eventually ported to the PC, where they are currently still available for a slightly higher price.
