Only a select audience has been invited to the press conference. Those who are not invited by Nintendo are able to follow the presentation via a livestream.

After the press conference Nintendo will host an event for consumers titled the Tokyo Big Sight in which gamers are able to try out the new console. The event is held on January 14th and January 15th 2017 in Tokyo.

Nintendo is also planning on organising similar events in Europe and the United States a few days after the press conference.

The Nintendo Switch is expected to launch in March of 2017.
