Hello Games has released the previously announced Pathfinder Update for No Man's Sky. The Path Finder update adds new content, fixes bugs and introduces new graphics settings.

The patch notes for the new Pathfinder Update list the introduction of several new vehicles to the game, including the Nomad, the Roamer and the Colossus. All vehicles are so-called Exocraft and are basically variations of one single dune buggy vehicle type.

Also new in this update is the introduction of new weapons that can be installed into Multi-tools alongisde the existing Boltcaster weapon, with each weapon providing a different combat style. The new weapons are the Scatter Balster, Pulse Spitter and Blaze Javelin.

Space ships have also received three new weapons that offer new tactical opportunities. The added weapons are the Cyclotron Ballista, Positron Ejector and the Infra-Knife Accelerator.

The update also adds a several small pieces of content, including the ability to own multiple ships, more starship specialisations, Exocraft races, new shops and traders, improved base building variety, a permadeath mode, a photo mode, an improved discovery menu, online base sharing via Steam Workshop, and several quality of life improvements.

In the graphics department the game has also received new features, which include High and ultra resolution textures, improved Ambient Lighting, Ambient Occlusion, Crepuscular Rays, improved post-processing and HDR modes for compatible monitors. The update also adds 4K resolution support for the PlayStation 4 Pro.

The new Path Finder update is now available for all versions of the game.
