Developers of the Nintendo Wii U emulation software Cemu have released a new version of the software that allows users to emulate The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the PC.
The new version numbered 1.7.3 was featured in a video that was released earlier this week and showed that it was able to emulate the game without players getting stuck on the game's start menu screen.
The emulation software is, however, still not able to emulate the game at the expected framerate, causing actual gameplay to be tedious and frustrating, and the latest version is currently only available to backers of the project.
Modders have also released a graphics pack for the emulator that allows it to run the game at 4K resolution by editing configuration files, effectively surpassing the hardware limitations of the console itself.
In the weeks to come the developers of the emualtion software are expected to make further improvements that could positively affect the game's emulation speed, through no specific details have been released yet.
