At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto V, is suffering from connectivity issues following a recent Social Club server outage.
The server outage started at around 10 AM BST worldwide this morning when players noticed they were unable to access Grand Theft Auto Online. The connectivity issues affect all versions of Grand Theft Auto V, including PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Only the multiplayer component of the game seems to be affected as the singleplayer campaign is still accessible even though it also utilizes Rockstar Games' Social Club servers.
Upon launching the singleplayer campaign players will be notified that their session may lead to "Cloud save conflicts and data loss" if saves are newer than the version that Rockstar Games has stored on its servers.
Rockstar Games has not yet commented on the connectivity issues.
Update: The servers are back online. The developer has not issued a statement regarding the 5 hours of downtime.
