Hello Games has released the patch notes for the first patch for No Man's Sky. The game is releasing in North America tomorrow for the Playstation 4.
The first patch for the game is a day one patch with which Hello Games hopes to rectify issues that were found in the past few weeks. The developer highly recommends downloading the patch before playing the game as the changes in the patch affect game saves.
The patch introduces various new features that the developer was unble to put on the game's disc in time. Noteworthy features include updates to the game's universe generation algorithm, allowing galaxies to be up to 10 times larger than the original game.
With the changed generation algorithm the developer hopes to bring a greater variety of explorable planets early on in the game. The patch also introduces a new atmosphere system that allows for more varied day and night skies.
Last but not least the patch also fixes several exploits, one of which allowed players to travel huge distances. The full day one patch notes can be found on the game's official website.
No Man's Sky is set to release August 9th in North America and August 10th in Europe for Playstation 4 and August 12th for PC worldwide.
