In just mere days the reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is shaping up to be the most disliked gaming video on YouTube. Fans of the franchise claim that the franchise has been going downhill ever since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The new trailer being the most disliked gaming video on YouTube seems to signal that fans of the franchise have had enough.
Activision Blizzard, publisher of the game, aims to release a new Call of Duty game every year -- with the same gameplay but with different maps to play on and different weapons to utilize. Though the formula seems to have worked for many years it seems recent events show that things have taken a turn for the worse. Currently the trailer for the game is YouTube's 15th most disliked video, making it the website's most disliked gaming video.
Earlier this week EA Games revealed that their Battlefield franchise was going back to a World War 1 setting instead of focusing on modern warfare combat. Activision Blizzard still hopes to rake in sales by bundling Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare with a high-defition remake of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare though it is going to be interesting to see how the market reacts.
