Dragon Ball FighterZ gets new Tien character gameplay video

Bandai Namco has released a new character gameplay video for the upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game was announced earlier this year.

Dragon Ball FighterZ uses a 2.5D animation art style, meaning that, while characters are rendered in a 3D environment, they feature the traditional and iconic Dragon Ball anime art style that matches that of the original anime.

The game is currently in development at Ark System Works Co., a Japanese game development studio located in Yokohama, Japan. The studio is known for its involvement in the development of various 2D anime video games.

Aside from the game's story campaign, it is also said to feature a 3 versus 3 character battle mode that allows different team formation strategies to be discovered, and an "ultra-fast battle mode" that is said to incorporate the "thrill of battle".

Dragon Ball FighterZ launches on January 26, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
