Rockstar Games has announced it has launched the 2017 edition of the Festive Surprise update for Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto V.

The 2017 edition of the Festive Surprise update is mostly the same as the original edition that launched in 2016. However, new additions this year are the introduction of the new Übermacht Sentinel Classic vehicle and the new Occupy mode.

The new mode is said to be the latest addition to Grand Theft Auto Online, where victory is obtained by securing and holding capture zones across the map and fending off the circling vultures on the other team.

The holiday update also re-introduces all existing content from the previous holiday updates, including colorful bodysuits, bold pinstripe smoking jacket, Santa outfit, festive sweaters and festive hats.

Also making a return this year are holiday decorations in player housing and in the normal game world, the Fireworks Launcher weapon and the snow weather type, which affects vehicle handling.

Aside from the new content the game also sees the return of double GTA Dollar & RP rewards but this time exclusively for the Occupy mode.
