Publisher Starbreeze Studios has announced that the Nintendo Switch version of the shooter game Payday 2 will release in February. The game was announced in April.
The game will feature the same maps and objectives as the original title. Whether additional objectives will be included in the Nintendo Switch version is currently unknown.
The game features tweaked user interfaces and a reworked control scheme to fit the console. However, further details on the changes have yet to be be released.
Whether the game will include all the paid and free updates that have been released since its debut in 2013 is also unknown.
Overkill Software was acquired by Starbreeze Studios when it acquired all rights to the Payday franchise in May 2016.
Starbreeze Studios is currently also working on Payday 3 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Payday 2 for Nintendo Switch launches on February 23, 2018.
