New videos uploaded on YouTube show several PlayStation 3 exclusive titles being emulated on the PC via the RPCS3 emulator. Work on the emulator started several years ago.

The new videos were uploaded by YouTuber reznoire and show several console exclusive titles running on the PC. Even though emulation is nowhere near enjoyable, the videos show the progress the development team behind the emulator has made.

At its current stage of development, the PlayStation 3 emulator requires high-end hardware to power the emulation process. The gameplay videos that was released earlier this week was captured on a machine featuring an i5 7600k processor running at 4.2 GHz.

It is likely that RPCS3 running on older hardware will be able to emulate 3D games faster and faster as the development team continues to improve the emulator in the coming months.

According to a recent blog post, the emulator is currently able to boot 99% of its list of 2631 titles, including Red Dead Redemption and Shadow of the Colossus.
