Publisher Mode 7 has released the debut trailer for the upcoming planetary settlement game The Colonists. The game is being developed by indie development studio Codebyfire.
The game was announced in June when the studio released a couple of screenshots to show its progress.

In the game players take control of a team of robots tasked with settling a newly-discovered planet, preparing the ground for an influx of inhabitants from their homeworld.
They will advance from the Stone Age to the Space Age as they build the infrastructure for their colony by constructing complex road, boat, train and drone transport systems.
The game will feature a singleplayer campaign, a free-to-play mode, a competitive multiplayer mode and a co-op multiplayer mode. It is said to be inspired by classic titles such as The Settlers and the Anno franchise.
The Colonists will make its way to Steam Early Access on November 9, 2017.
