Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not be playable without a disc of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. That can be deduced from the game's official product page.

The text that tells users an Infinite Warfare disc is required to play the game was hidden on the page in small, light grey text.

"For disc-based Legacy editions of Infinite Warfare on PS4 and Xbox One, Infinite Warfare game disc must be inserted to play Modern Warfare Remastered." the message reads.

The questionable scheme that Activision is using to sell the remastered game prevents players that are only interested in playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered from reselling their copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that comes with the game.

While still unconfirmed, the digital version of the game will most likely also only be available to play if the player owns both products.

Now that players are finding out that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered really will not be available seperately, many unsatisfied fans took to social media to announce they have canceled their preorder as to not encourage the questionable bundle scheme.
