Nintendo has sold over 4.7 million Nintendo Switch consoles since its release in March 2017. That can be deduced from the company's fiscal quarter report.

Of the 4.7 million units sold, roughly 1.1 million were sold inside Japan and roughly 1.9 million in North America. The remaining 1.6 million were sold in other regions, including Europe.

Despite being released months ago, the console still seems to enjoy increasing popularity, allowing Nintendo to continue to push its sales figures on both hardware and software.

On the software side, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe are the most popular games with 3.9 million and 3.4 million units sold respectively.

The console's success allowed Nintendo to generate ¥21.8 million yen in revenue, roughly $195 million USD, in the fiscal quarter.
