Activision has confirmed that the studio will be releasing a reworked version of the classic Call of Duty map Carentan. The map is considered one of the best multiplayer maps of the original Call of Duty game.
In a recent blog post the publisher states that the reworked Carentan map is a "brand-new" version of the original classic.
In the map players fight through destroyed buildings and fortified streets in an all-out battle for a strategic German stronghold.
As usual with recent Call of Duty franchise games, the new Carentan map will only be available to players who have purchased the game's Season Pass. The digital Deluxe Edition retails for the high price of $99.99 USD in North America and €99.99 in Europe.
Earlier this month the beta version of the game received thousands of negative reviews following the launch of the game's PC open beta event.
In the reviews players were urging the Steam community to not purchase the title. The reviews were removed after the open beta event ended.
Call of Duty: WWII launches on November 3, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
