New gameplay footage has appeared online that showcases virtual reality support for the beach volleyball game Dead or Alive Xtreme 3. The game will receive a free update in October.
The Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 update that launches on October 13th will add support for PlayStation VR. With the new virtual reality mode players will be able get up close and personal with the game's characters. To interact with the characters in 3D space players are required to use a PlayStation Move controller.
The game features several game modes, including beach flag, in which characters will compete in a race to retrieve a flag, and rock climbing. The PlayStation 4 version of the game also includes a feature which displays tan lines and swimsuit malfunctions while players play the game.
Publisher Koei Tecmo has previously stated that it will not publish the game in Western countries because of cultural differences between the West and Japan.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
