Telltale Games has just released the first screenshots for BATMAN - The Telltale Series. The game is rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, and features an award-winning cast of talent including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent and Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale.

"We've been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City." the announcement reads.

In addition to the first screenshots the developer has also announced that there will be downloadable content for the game in the form of a season pass. The season pass will give players access to an additional five episode season, though the contents have not yet been announced.

Announcing downloadable content before a game's release is a rather curious business model as it can indicate that the game's content was cut in order to sell it in segments.

The game will be available for PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4 and mobile platforms later this year.
