Sony has announced that The Last Guardian will be getting a patch on the game's launch day to support the PlayStation 4 Pro. The game launches in December.
When The Last Guardian launches on December 7th 2016 the game will receive a launch day patch to support the PlayStation 4 Pro console. Whether the patch will introduce 4K resolution support remains to be seen. Thus far only framerate improvements and HDR support have been confirmed.
The Last Guardian has been in development for several years. Last month President of Sony's Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that the game has gone gold.
The game revolves around a young boy who befriends a giant hybrid creature, Trico, and the two work together to evade guards that are after them both.
The game requires the player to manipulate Trico like a real animal, such as luring it with food, as to use the creature as a means to climb and reach high platforms or other remote places.
The Last Guardian launches December 6th 2016 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
