Indie development studio Sloclap has released a first teaser video for the upcoming online multiplayer combat RPG game Absolver. The video focuses on the combat abilities accessible to players.

In Absolver players awake with a mysterious mask on their face that frees their character from hunger, thirst, and even death. The mask is the creation of the Guides, the rulers of the Adal Empire, who have placed you here to determine whether you are worthy of becoming part of the elite corps of Absolvers.

As players wander the lands of the Adal Empire they will discover new combat styles, acquire weapons, gear and armor, and build a team of warriors with whom to fight side by side in Arenas of combat.

In the game players will seamlessly encounter others in the world, generating unique stories that emerge through player interaction and choices. These moments are filled with tension as intentions to battle, trade, or befriend are never clear: trust is always a leap of faith.

Encounters will also have lasting consequences and transform into meaningful relationships as you make friends or enemies and find mentors or disciples.

The game is currently in development at Sloclap, an independent studio located in Paris. The game is published by DevolverDigital, who is known for publishing titles such as Serious Sam and Shadow Warrior.

Absolver is scheduled to launch on August 29th 2017 for PC and PlayStation 4.
