PlayStation VR will get 18 playable demos when it launches in the US this October. Earlier this month Sony had announced that the virtual reality headset would ship with 8 playable demos.

The additional 10 playable demos are said to only be available in the US edition of PlayStation VR. Why players in other regions will not be able to access the playable demos is currently unknown.

In addition to the 8 playable demos that were announced earlier this month, players in the US will also get access to demos versions of Rez Infinite, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Gnog, Allumette, Harmonix Music VR, Here They Lie, Job Simulator and Resident Evil 7.

The free playable demos may end up being available worldwide through the PlayStation Store free of charge but this has not yet been confirmed.

PlayStation VR launches October 13th 2016.

Update: The article incorrectly stated that PlayStation VR would release in 2017, this is an error. The release date has been rectified.
