Super Mario Odyssey is the most viewed E3 2017 game trailer

The Super Mario Odyssey gameplay trailer that was released during E3 2017 last week is the most viewed E3 2017 trailer on YouTube. The trailer overtook all other video game trailers hosted by official accounts.

Despite being one of the last game trailers that was released during the event, the trailer overtook many other popular games in terms of views, including Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (9.948.803 views), Spider-Man (8.700.871 views), and Need for Speed Payback (7.155.835 views).

At the time of writing, the trailer currently has 11.188.751 views, which makes it the most viewed E3 2017 trailer hosted by official YouTube channels.

The views of third party channels that copy game trailers for views are not counted because the view counter on those channels is often manipulated by fake view bots.

Despite the claims from other game media, the Super Mario Odyssey trailer can truely be considered the most viewed E3 2017 trailer.

The trailer was released days after the release of other popular game trailers, indicating that it is racking in more views per day than its "competitors".
