Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing free downloadable content for Super Mario Odyssey. The game launched in October.
The new Super Mario Odyssey: Luigi's Balloon World downloadable content will be available free of charge. It can be accessed once players have completed the original game.

The downloadable content pack features a balloon searching mode in which players must either find or place hidden balloons. Balloons are placed throughout the world by other players.
Both the find and hide modes are linked to a ranking system. By finding balloons faster or by hiding balloons better players will move up in rank.
In addition, the new content pack also includes new outfits and new filters for the game's snapshot mode.
The Super Mario Odyssey: Luigi's Balloon World downloadable content pack is expected to launch in February.
