Nintendo has announced a new Pokemon game for its Nintendo Switch handheld. The game releases this November.

The new game Pokémon Let's Go is currently being developed by Game Freak. This is the same studio that worked on the popular Pokémon games for the Nintendo Game Boy back in the late 90s.

The game will take players to the Kanto region from the first generation of Pokémon and also features two-player simultaneous play to allow players to take the journey with a friend.

Similarly to classic Pokémon games, the game will release in two flavors: Pikachu Edition and Eevee Edition. These two editions will give players access to one of the two Pokémon as starter kit.

The game can work in conjunction with the Pokémon Go game that released in 2016. Players who have collected Pokémon in that game are able to seamlessly transfer between the two titles.

Pokémon Let's Go releases on November 16, 2018, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
