EA Dice has announced that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be available for play five days before the launch of the game for Origin Access users. The game will be part of EA's Play First Trials program that allows players to try out a game for 6 hours before deciding on the purchase. In addition the paid trial version of the game will be limited to 10 missions and 2 districts to explore.
Origin Access is EA Games' subscription service that costs around $5 a month, giving gamers all kinds of additional services and access to special sales. Other titles that are part of the Play First Trials program include Need for Speed and Plant vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 though interestingly these titles offer longer, 10 hour playtime sessions compared to the 6 hours of Mirror's Edge Catalyst.
Players who decide to purchase the game will have their progress carried over to the full version of the game to continue playing. Mirror's Edge Catalyst is scheduled to release June 7th in America and June 9th in Europe for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
