EA Games will resume sending out Battlefield 1 open beta codes in the aftermath of problems with the game's open beta code generation system.

When the open beta for Battlefield 1 launched for Battlefield Insider subscribers earlier today thousands of players did not receive a working code or did not receiving a code at all, even though they have subscribed to the Battlefield Insider program before the due date of August 21st.

As a result thousands of players turned to EA Games' Origin online support in hopes of getting a working open beta key. During the afternoon the Origin support page displayed waiting times of up to 4 hours to get a support ticket processed.

In conversation with ZeroLives two EA Games support employees independently confirmed that the system that is used to generate new Battlefield 1 keys was malfunctioning earlier today, making it impossible for them to issue new keys.

At that time the game developer was even advising players to "wait until tomorrow" to play the game.

At around 20:30 BST tonight we were able to confirm through our sources that EA Games has once again started issuing Battlefield 1 open beta keys via their Origin online support page. At the time of writing the current ticket waiting time is roughly 80 minutes.

Over the coming hours EA Games will continue to send out e-mail invitations to Battlefield Insider subscribers in batches.

Players who do not wish to wait on their open beta code e-mail can open a support ticket via the Battlefield 1 Origin support page.
