The first details and artwork for an upcoming Ubisoft game titled Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle has leaked online. The game combines Nintendo's Mario franchise with Ubisoft's Rabbids.
Although not much is known about actual gameplay, the leaked information indicates that the game will feature 35% exploration and 65% turn-based combat.
On the exploration side, the game will feature at least 4 world environments to discover, and environments will also include puzzles and secret zones.
On the turn-based combat side, the game will feature 8 unique characters that each have their own play style, tactical options such as dash, team jumps, warp pipes and destructible covers, upgradable and collectible weapons, a variety of combat objectives, 7 enemy archetypes and 1 boss per world.
The game will also feature two player local multiplayer co-op by connecting two consoles to each other.
The game is currently in development at Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan and it will run on Ubisoft's proprietary game engine Snowdrop.
The game was scheduled to be announced at E3 2017 next month and will release at the end of August 2017 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
