Tripwire Interactive has announced the 7th closed beta test for Rising Storm: Vietnam. The new game is the direct sequel to the original shooter game Rising Storm that released in 2013.
The game appeared on Steam last week when the development studio behind the game announced that it would start accepting pre-purchase orders. The PC system specifications were also released on the same day.
Those who pre-purchase the game will get access to this 7th closed beta test on May 11th 2017 as well as several other items when the game releases later this month. Players who already have a beta key will also be able to participate.
During the closed beta test players will be able to access almost all of the content included in the game. Those who wish to host their own servers will also be able to do so, because the studio has confirmed that it will be releasing the required dedicated server files on the same day.
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is said to be a hardcore tactical first person shooter game set in the "brutal killing fields of the Vietnam War".
The game aims to be an authentic recreation of the Vietnam War, allowing players to join the fight on both sides of the war: the powerful United States Military or the fearless Vietnamese resistance fighters.
At the release of the game, the Standard Edition will be priced at $24.99 in North America and €22.99 in Europe and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $29.99 in North America and €27.99 in Europe.
The pre-purchase discount offers the Digital Deluxe Edition version at $22.49 in North America and €20.99 in Europe from now until launch.
